Excavate the roadway to the desired elevation and fully compact the subgrade. Remove all air and tighten the soil completely to create a stable base.
Roll out the geotextile fabric on the compacted subgrade, ensuring it is free of wrinkles and folds. Follow the engineer's instructions for overlapping the fabric. If a stitch seam is required, Cherokee can pre-sew the fabric for you. Contact your Cherokee representative for pricing on factory seamed rolls in wider widths.
Stitch the fabric on the job site using a dual thread lock stitch to prevent it from unthreading. We offer equipment for purchase or rental to assist with the stitching process.
