The bottom layer of impermeable sodium based bentonite is made of woven fabric. Fix the sodium based bentonite with excellent waterproof effect between high-strength geotextiles using a special needle punching method, and then apply a layer of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) film on the nonwoven fabric. Bentonite waterproof blankets have stronger waterproof and anti-seepage capabilities than ordinary bentonite waterproof blankets. The waterproof mechanism is that the bentonite particles expand when they come into contact with water, forming a uniform colloidal system. Under the restriction of two layers of geotextiles, the bentonite changes from disordered to ordered expansion. The continuous water absorption and expansion result in the bentonite layer becoming dense and thus having a waterproof effect.
