Production Process

 

  1. Ingredients: We carefully select the finest high-density polyethylene raw materials according to your design requirements. To enhance the geomembrane's properties, we add carbon black, antioxidants, and UV absorbers to improve its resistance to oxidation and UV rays.

  2. Melting: The selected high-density polyethylene raw material is melted using an extruder, resulting in a molten plastic.

  3. Blow Molding: The molten plastic is blown into a thin film shape through our state-of-the-art blow molding machine head, creating a thin film with precision.

  4. Cooling: The blown geosynthetic film is gradually cooled to room temperature using our advanced cooling device, ensuring optimal conditions for further processing.

  5. Traction: The cooled geotextile is pulled through a traction device at a set speed and direction, achieving the desired thickness.

  6. Cutting: Following the design specifications, the geomembrane is cut after traction to form a specified length and width.

  7. Inspection: We conduct a thorough quality inspection on the produced geotextile, assessing its thickness, strength, toughness, oxidation resistance, and other aspects. Only geomembranes that meet our high standards proceed to the next process.

Geomembrane, an essential geosynthetic material, is widely used in geotechnical and civil engineering projects. Its exceptional anti-seepage, corrosion resistance, deformation adaptability, and frost resistance make it indispensable in various applications. In this guide, we will provide a detailed step-by-step installation process and important precautions for geomembranes.



 

Installation Steps of Geomembrane:



 

Preparation Work:

 

  • Ensure that the construction site meets the necessary requirements, remove debris and dust, and ensure a flat and solid foundation.

  • Avoid dragging or forcefully pulling the geomembranes during transportation and storage to prevent damage.


  •  


 

Measurement and Cropping:

 

  • Accurately measure the dimensions of the laying area before cutting the geomembrane, and cut according to the actual needs.

  • Leave a margin of 1.5% during cutting to account for local sinking and stretching. Avoid cutting too tightly.


  •  


 

Laying:

 

  • Keep the geomembranes flat and tightly pressed from bottom to top, ensuring a secure connection between membranes and between membranes and the substrate.

  • Ensure a slightly loose laying of the membrane to prevent the formation of bubbles at the bottom.

  • The laying sequence should start from the slope and progress towards the bottom of the field. When laying on a slope, align the film direction parallel to the maximum slope line.

Joint Treatment:

 

  • Stagger the longitudinal joints of adjacent frames by more than 1 meter and avoid placing them on the same horizontal line.

  • Keep the longitudinal joint at least 1.5 meters away from the foot of the dam or the bend, and place it on a flat surface.

  • The overlap width between membranes should be no less than 10 centimeters.

  • After laying the geotextile membrane, press it with sandbags to prevent wind movement.
