Woven fabric, also known as woven geotextile or woven geotextile, is an item made from polypropylene and polypropylene flat fibers as raw materials. Generally used in geotechnical engineering projects for reinforcement and enhancement, the main function is reinforcement and enhancement, with plane isolation and protection functions. Compared with non-woven fabrics, woven geotextiles do not have filtration, i.e. flat drainage function.

Textile geotextile is composed of at least two parallel sets of yarns (or flat filaments), one set along the longitudinal direction of the loom (the direction of fabric travel) is called warp yarn, and the other set is arranged horizontally is called weft yarn. Using different weaving equipment and techniques to interweave warp and weft yarns into a cloth shape, it can be woven into different thicknesses and densities according to different usage ranges.

Generally, spunbond geotextiles are relatively thin and have strong tensile strength in both longitudinal and transverse directions (longitude is greater than latitude), with good stability performance. It can maintain sufficient strength and elongation in both dry and wet conditions. According to the weaving process and the use of warp and weft, woven geotextiles are divided into two categories: reinforced geotextiles and unreinforced geotextiles. The longitudinal tensile strength of reinforced geotextiles is much higher than that of ordinary geotextiles.

       

1. Reinforcement effect: used in rock engineering such as highways, railways, airports, stone dams, embankments, retaining walls, and embankments, to disperse soil stress, increase soil modulus, limit soil sliding, and improve stability.

2. Protective function: to prevent the embankment from being washed away by wind, waves, tides, and rain, and to be used for bank protection, slope protection, bottom protection, and soil erosion prevention.

3. Anti filtration function: Used as a filter layer for embankments, dams, rivers, and coastal rocks, soil slopes, and retaining walls, to prevent sand particles from passing through and allow water or air to pass freely.

Installation Instructions

1. Geotextiles can only be cut with a geotextile knife (hook knife). If cutting within the site, special protective measures must be taken for other materials to prevent unnecessary damage caused by cutting geotextiles;

2. During the laying of geotextiles, all necessary measures must be taken to prevent damage to the underlying layer of material;

3. When laying geotextiles, attention must be paid not to let materials such as stones, a large amount of dust or water that may damage the geotextile, block drainage channels or filter screens, or cause difficulties for subsequent connections enter the geotextile or underneath the geotextile;

4. After installation, visually inspect all geotextile surfaces to identify all damaged landlords, mark and repair them, and ensure that the laying surface is free of foreign substances that can cause damage, such as broken needles and other foreign objects;
