Our blow molded geomembrane is a high-quality anti-seepage material made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE). It is designed to provide excellent resistance against seepage, as well as protection against oxidation and UV radiation.

 

Production Process:

 

  1. Ingredients: We carefully select high-density polyethylene raw materials based on design requirements. To enhance the geomembrane's properties, we add additives such as carbon black, antioxidants, and UV absorbers.

  2. Melting: The selected HDPE raw material is melted using an extruder, resulting in molten plastic.

  3. Blow Molding: The molten plastic is blown into a thin film shape through our advanced blow molding machine. This process creates a circular cross-section nozzle that forms a thin film.

  4. Cooling: The blown geosynthetic film is gradually cooled to room temperature using a cooling device, facilitating further processing.

  5. Traction: The cooled geotextile is pulled through a traction device at a set speed and direction to achieve the desired thickness.

  6. Cutting: After traction, the geomembrane is cut according to design specifications, resulting in a specified length and width.

  7. Inspection: We conduct a thorough quality inspection on the produced geotextile, including measurements of thickness, strength, toughness, and oxidation resistance. Only geomembranes that meet our high standards proceed to the next process.

Geomembrane Installation Steps and Precautions

 

Geomembrane, an essential geosynthetic material, is widely used in geotechnical and civil engineering projects. Its exceptional anti-seepage, corrosion resistance, deformation adaptability, and frost resistance make it indispensable in various construction applications.

 

Installation Steps:

 

  1. Preparation Work: Ensure the construction site meets the requirements, remove debris and dust, and ensure a flat and solid foundation.

  2. Measurement and Cropping: Accurately measure the laying area and cut the geomembrane accordingly, leaving a 1.5% margin for local sinking and stretching.

  3. Laying: Lay the geomembrane flat and tightly pressed from bottom to top, avoiding bubbles at the bottom of the membrane. Start laying from the slope to the bottom of the field, with the film direction parallel to the maximum slope line.

  4. Joint Treatment: Stagger the longitudinal joints of adjacent frames by at least 1 meter. Place the longitudinal joint at least 1.5 meters away from the foot of the dam or bend. The overlap width between membranes should be at least 10 centimeters.

  5. Fixation and Protection: Press the geotextile membrane with sandbags to prevent wind movement. Make detailed records and numbering at corners and deformed areas. Avoid sharp objects that may pierce the geomembrane.

  6. Welding: Use hot melt welding or special adhesive bonding. Ensure flat, wrinkle-free PE single film at the joint with a certain width of overlap. Adjust temperature and speed for firm welding.

  7. Inspection and Backfilling: Conduct quality inspection after completing the laying and splicing of geomembranes. Only proceed with backfilling operations if there are no damages, bubbles, welding leaks, or other issues.
