Installation Steps of Geomembrane:

 

Preparation Work:

 

Before installation, it is essential to ensure that the construction site meets the necessary requirements. Remove any debris and dust, and ensure that the foundation is flat and solid.

 

During transportation and storage, avoid dragging or exerting excessive force on the geomembranes to prevent any damage.



 

Measurement and Cropping:

 

Prior to cutting the geomembrane, accurately measure the dimensions of the laying area. Cut the geomembrane according to the actual needs, leaving a margin of 1.5% to account for local sinking and stretching. Avoid cutting it too tight.



 

Laying:

 

When laying the geomembranes, ensure they are kept flat and tightly pressed from bottom to top, both between membranes and between the membranes and the substrate.

 

Keep the laying of the membrane slightly loose to prevent the formation of bubbles at the bottom.

 

The laying sequence should start from the slope and progress towards the bottom of the field. For slopes, the direction of the film should be parallel to the maximum slope line.



 

Joint Treatment:

 

Ensure that the longitudinal joints of adjacent frames are not on the same horizontal line and are staggered by more than 1 meter.

 

The longitudinal joint should be at least 1.5 meters away from the foot of the dam or the bend and should be placed on a flat surface.

 

The overlap width between membranes should generally not be less than 10 centimeters.

After laying the geotextile membrane, it should be pressed with sandbags to prevent wind movement.

 

At corners and deformed areas, make detailed records on a dedicated form and number them.
