Construction method for geotechnical cell:

1. Breaking surface leveling: The smoothness of the slope surface is related to the success or failure of grass planting protection in the geotechnical cell. The uneven surface of the slope can easily lead to stress concentration when laying geogrid cells, causing cracks in the cell welds and resulting in cell stepping. Therefore, it is necessary to level the slope surface to the design requirements and use manual slope repair to remove floating stones, dangerous stones, etc. on the slope surface.

2. The slope of the paving compartment should be equipped with a main drainage ditch system: a distance of 4m should be maintained between adjacent ditches, and the drainage ditch should be connected to the roadside ditch to allow water from the road area to flow into the drainage ditch and enter the edge of the highway, so as to prevent water from the road area and prevent erosion of the compartment slope protection.

3. Laying direction: The grid should be laid from top to bottom in the direction of the main force, so that the grid sheet material is perpendicular to the highway subgrade. Never lay horizontally.

4. Rivet pile fixation: Fully open the cell components and nail a hook shaped rivet pile into each cell at the top. The length of the rivet pile is required to be twice the G-degree of the cell itself plus 30cm. For example, for a 5cm cell, its rivet pile should be 2 x 5cm+30cm, which is 40cm in length. For a 10cm cell, its rivet pile should be 2 x 10+30, which is 50cm in length. Rivet piles should be nailed along the drainage ditch on both sides, and bamboo and wood pile like objects can be used to mainly open the cell, Bamboo and wood pile like structures can also be used as tensioning chambers in the middle and bottom. The top riveted pile mainly serves as a suspension and riveting chamber, and better materials such as steel rods should be used. The steel rod must be perpendicular to the slope surface, and other materials mainly serve as tensioning chambers during construction. The available materials are relatively simple.
 
5. Fill the compartment as needed: After the compartment is opened and riveted tightly, fill the compartment space with stones or soil suitable for planting grass or seeds from top to bottom. The filling should be 1.2 times the G-degree of the compartment, and be compacted by tapping, planting vegetation in a timely manner.

6. When used on highway slopes, when used on downhill slopes, the drainage ditch should be connected to the shoulder drainage ditch structure to facilitate the drainage of water on the road surface, and not to erode the slope protection; When used on the slope of a highway, a drainage ditch should be set up on the top line of the slope to prevent the accumulated water at point G from flowing into the drainage ditch, avoiding direct erosion of the slope protection by accumulated water. Geogrids with a higher G degree should be used as much as possible on the upper slope.

7. Re inspection: After the construction is completed, the re inspection work should be done well. If the tensioning is not sufficient and the top rivet pile is not firm, it should be reworked in a timely manner until the grass or grass seeds are completely formed
