Learn how to easily install geotextile fabric with our step-by-step guide.

 

Step 1 - Prep the Road Surface

 

Excavate the roadway to the desired elevation and fully compact the subgrade.

 

Step 2 - Unroll the Geotextile Fabric

 

Roll out the geotextile fabric on the compacted subgrade, ensuring it is free of wrinkles and folds. Overlap the fabric as directed by the engineer.

 

Step 3 - Sew the Geotextile Fabric

 

Stitch the fabric on-site with a dual thread lock stitch to prevent unraveling. Choose from prayer seam, j-seam, or butterfly seam.

 

Step 4 - Apply Aggregate

 

Place aggregate to specified thickness, ensuring full compaction before proceeding.

 

Step 5 - Lay Asphalt

 

Complete the installation by laying the pavement layer.
